What makes you think something will go wrong? If looked after it should last for many years to come

m8 of mine has an RB5 with over 150k on the clock and it never misses a beat. He hammers it every day but runs a turbo timer and it is serviced regulary, he only has the main cat remaining also.

there`s a reason everyone hears horror stories of engines blowing up, who`s going to report that all is well?

My RB5 had blew at 51k when i bought it but who knows what had been going on with the previous owners and the car before i got it, although it had a full service history form subaru.

I bought it with the rebuild into the deal but i know it cost slightly over £2000and thats not fully forged....just new pistons, later version crank etc etc.

Just telling u my story so dont be getting worried, as i know a couple of scoobs with 140k+ miles on them, and my mates 97 uk car has well over 115k and never misses a beat!!

Just make it has being serviced regularly in the past, it should be fine.

If you do get the RB5 join the RB5OC forum as well
