Well this has only started to happen about the last 6weeks or so. I generally don't bring her over 4K anyway cause i fitted a FMIC and induction awhile back and haven't gotten her mapped yet to suit. I was told just to be careful till i did so i was. But once it reaches 4K RPM (if i wana give it abit of beans overtaking) on say half throttle and i increase to full, gently, she starts juddering and bad hesitation so i obviously stop and change gear and leave well enough alone.
Has anyone had this problem or any symptoms like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

 

Mate, when they said take it easy, they meant don't go above 4k rpm. If you use boost with a FMIC and induction kit without a remap, you're asking for trouble: if all it does it not accelerate properly, you're lucky - it's probably the poor ECU wondering what the heck is going on!Keep giving it beans (or trying to) and there is a good chance you'll nip a piston. Keep it off boost and get that remap ASAP!!!

I don't drive it hard at all,only the odd time when over taken mite it hit 4K RPM...She was driving fine for a few months after i fitted the FMIC and then this problem has reared its head...I'm waiting to get a new ECU and a few other bits thats why she's still unmapped for the new additions as i believe MY97 cars don't have a reflashable ECU?
