Just decided to have a look at my engine no. the other day, It doesn't match the vin plate atall, This doesnt bother me but i just wondered if any of you guy's could shed any light on it. All it reads is '455000'

are you sure you are looking at the engine number?? if its etched across the casing halves on the bellhousing then thats simply a build code.............

it on the rear of the block at the passenger side just above the starter motor, pic might help
