OE ECU units sealed?
Hey all,
Just wonder if the oe ECU unit is sealed or if it needs air flow of some type to allow heat to escape? With carpet fitted over the top, cant be much in the way of heat escape unless through the bodywork - is that right? Just wonder how wet the outside of that unit can get without problems...

It is a single board in a metal case with a slither of plastic over the top to protect it (plus a rather large metal plate). There is no power supply so no reason to get hot?

Interesting, never thought of checking to see if it had power or not to the unit, so does it actually have an ecu? How can it run processes without power? Sounds like I've not got to worry about heat though, cheers.
