engine error codes
I keep getting these engine check codes 12= starter switch, and 33= Vehicle speed sensor 2, where abouts are these, also would the starter switch be the problem to my car not wanting to start when cold,,,

not sure about the starter switch, but the speed sensor is on the gearbox, are you getting a speed reading?? when you reset the ecu you need to drive, i think this is so you get a speed reading for that sensor. Give a reset a go and see how you get on.

Your Ign switch should supply one of the pins on your ECU with 12v when you are cranking the engine over, so if this is not happening then it could be affecting the way she starts up.
The code 33 that you are getting relates to a signal that the ECU receives from either your gearbox or your speedo head unit (depends on year & weather it's in import or not). This signal is very important to the ECU & consequently if it looses this whilst you are driving, it will illuminate the "Check Engine" lamp & at the same time put the engine into "Limp Home" mode (i.e. A much lower rev limit will be introduced & there will be virtually no boost allowed).
