I am looking for an Apexi power fc ecu for an MY98 uk model. My standard ecu has 3 plugs which appear to be quite flat in appearance.I have seen an Apexi unit advertised which states it is for a version 5/6,which also has 3 plugs, but the sockets to where the plugs fit into appear to be physically bigger,is this the correct Apexi unit for my car.My present ecu is an "8S"

Before you do that, give a Simtek some thought!
It's bang up to date, and available for £995 supplied fitted and mapped.

The 97/98 ECU is different from the 99/00, they are both 3 plug but the later one as you say has the almost square plugs where the 97/98 has rectangular plugs.
