I recently bought some lightened pulleys and planned to change them over today, no chance. Maybe theres a technique or summit im not doing cos basically i aint got a clue. How the bloody hell do i stop the pulleys turning when trying to remove the nuts that hold em in place, especially the one on the alternator. Any suggestions please?

 

Get someone to put there foot hard on the brake and put the car in fifth

cool that helps with crank and power steering but still kinda stuck with alternator

 

If you haven't got a gun to shock it off you will need to remove it and put it in a vice - that would be the only way ..... it;s a bugger that one!

 

use a socket on a bar and at the same time as levering at it , hitit sharply with a hammer
