Default how much oil will a 99 turbo 2000 take?

hi, about to do an oil change this afternoon. im at work now and don't know whether to get some oil on the way home or not, if anyone knows off the top of their head that would save me a journey

As above, or 4.2 if you don't replace the filter.

Indeed, and AFAIK it takes a lot more than you think. Fill it, leave it for a while then return to it and re-top up is the advice I heard dispensed over the phone. (I don't do my own oil changes)

I managed to squeeze 5.5l into mine without changing the filter

Then you have over-filled it, which is almost as bad as under-filling it.
