dump valve? yay or nay?

dump valve? yay or nay?
im looking for a dump valve and have read that they improve responce but there are side effects. Is it worth getting one? I love the wwwisshhh noise. but i dont wana damage anything (engine, exhust).

If you are still running a MAF sensor then your car will run rich when the BOV dumps air to atmos, and this sometimes causes stalling and erratic idling.
Other than that there are no benefits to using an atmos dumpvalve. i actually prefer recirc.

there are no performance benafits really but they do sound great imo and also never had any problems.
Forge are the best for the money i think.

I went from recirc to VTA and was surprised at the incredible difference that it made: Bugger all! Swapped it back to recirc and the car just feels that little bit smoother between gearchanges whereas with the VTA it felt hesitant and lumpy, If you want to spend a shedload of cash for bugger all then go for it, personally I sold my VTA valve and spent the money on getting a pukka wheel alignment set up, a much better investment!
