Default Which Oil? 5-30? 10-40?

Hey everybody, i know this question comes up pretty much every day and i should have been paying attention to the reply threads but can somebody recommend the best and most suitable oil for my Classic. She is still limited to 112 and pretty standard. Thanks

If you do a search you find a couple of large posts about this item . However go with a fully syn , mobil 1,castrol etc are safe to use 10w 40 is fine remember the filter aswell . then repeat every 3000miles or so.
You will need between 4.2 and 5L

Just thought i would add, i'm using Mobil S 10w40 semi synthetic.

The previous owner swore by it, as he's never had any issues with engine or turbo. Just my input, and i'm using it only as the car has been run on it by him for the past 2 years.

But i'm no oil expert..

Depending on miles/age and if you know the car has been run on fully synthetic, adding it after about 60-70k miles is pretty pointless as the protection that the fully synth is protecting has already worn.
Your best with a good quality 10 40 semi synthetic if you dont know the above has been used, otherwise your just wasting your cash
