Default Cam belt and head valve shimming cost?

Hi, im just trying to gauge the cost of having the cam belt and passenger head valve shims checked/re shimed.I think my water pumps noisy too.
Has anyone had the same job done? Also, wheres a good place near Luton,Bedfordshire?
I was thinking of doing it myself, but have heard the shims are a pain to get.

Thanks,Mit

The shims are easy, just order them. £8 each mind.

It only sounds like one shim that needs changing,so £8 sounds like a good cheap fix!
Do subaru keep a good selection on the shelf? I don't really want the car off the road for too long.

Roger Clark are your best bet they keep loads of used ones (and new ones) on the shelf, They are unbelievebly helpful too.
You should get a quick turnaround from them.
A mate is rebuilding his P1 and they just did a swap for the shims he needed, but he has bought a good few parts off of them.
