Default are 440cc injectors ok for 330bhp with a FPR?

hello folks

i am doing the VF35 conversion on my 99 turbo 2000 soon, i have so far the
VF35turbo
sti7 TMIC with undertray,
walbro fuel pump
and was planning on running the standard 440 injectors and a rising rate FPR

the car already has a green panel filter, greddy boost controller and full magnex decatted with hayward scott downpipe

i will most likely be running an apexi power fc too or ecutek remap

just wondering if the injectors are nearing being maxed out at about 330bhp and 300lb/ft or do i need 550's?

cheers

Hiya,

You'll want the Sti 7 scoopp to make the most of the STi 7 intercooler mate.

Also, ported and wrapped headers would be a good idea, as would a 3 port boost solenoid.

Have a look here for my VF35 conversion info

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...xperience.html

440s will prob get you to 330ish without the FPR mate, but getting some 550s would get you some more headroom.
All the best

i would like the sti 7 one that is about 25mm higher than my standard scoop but the blobeye sti one looks wrong for a classic imo, is the higher one same shape as mine sufficient?

is it much of a job porting the headers NS04?

im not planning on going any higher than the 330bhp or so, as i dont want to compromise transmission or internals and clutch so if i could get away with the 440's it would be a bonus as its took me ages to save for the bits so far, just hope its worth it when all done :-)

Hi burt2000

I did similar to my MY98 and used 440s.

Write up here The evolution of a UK Impreza: 208bhp to …bhp [Archive] -

Good luck!

dito that my vf34 runs at 333bhp with 440's you could probably squeeze a bit more power out if you add the fpr

My 440's run 95-97% without FPR. 1.35bar on a VF28, approx 320BHP +/-10 depending on RR.

My 550s are about 73% with FPR @ 325 bhp.

Could have saved a heap by going for 440s, but wanted the safety and future flexibility.

i was running 1.2 on a vf22 and gor 320bhp on standard 97 injectors (smaller than 440's)

the accuracy of the rollers was proved when a RB320 came on and gor 319 and 325 on two runs.

The a supercharged 220bhp corrolla came on BRAND NEW and got 219 lol.

I was hopeing the 440's will take me up to abuot 350 with more boost

3.5 bar fuel pressure is acheived with an adjustable fuel regulator though as standard fpr pressure is 3 bar......... just to clarify

My 440's on a fe converted td05 16g are pretty near max on standard fuel pressure,at the limit jgm noted, so thats as far as i can go on my current set up.

Been doing some similar mods to my RB this week

VF35
STI8 Top Mount
Walbro 255 Pump
Fuellab FRR
NGK PFR7Bs
K&N Panel Filter
3 Bar Map Sensor
Lagged H&S Openneck D/P
H&S Centre
Prodrive Rear Box
Samco Induction and Turbo Hoses

Spoke to a few mappers and they said 440 injectors would cope with a FPR for 320 brake figure which im wanting

Good as ran out of cash now for my ported headers or uprated injectors

Mapping work booked in for the 6th so will keep u guys updated

Another Question debating on the bigger scoop as want the stealth look but what you guys using as the under scoop/tray, Ive notiched a guy called Carl is selling a fabricated one or will a genuine STI7/8 fit with no cutting etc
