Default Missfire/Loss of power. New owner! Help!

Hi everybody. I have got a MY95 WRX with an induction kit being the only modification.

Was driving home tonight and i thought for the first time i would give it the beans just a bit in 5th gear. As soon as i went newhere near full throttle the car would jerk and the boost would read 0.7 and then drop back down to about 0.1 and back and forth until id let go and then just drive fine.

Also the handbrake light is constantly on and the check engine light is also on.

Help please as i dont know what the problem is and want it fixed as soon as i can without having to change anything unecessarily.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

it will be in 'limp mode' most likely if the CEL is on so would probs expklain your symptoms, you need to get it diagnosed asap to prevent poss damage

the h/brake warning light also acts as a low fluid warning caused either simply because its sticking or low fluid or brake material.......

Well the brakes need to be pressed deep before they really do anything and then they stop you pretty firmly so im guessing it will just need brake fluid?

Also the temperature needle rised to about a the quarter mark and then it dropped back down again whilst driving. Whats up with that?

check the 'How To' guide here www.JollyGreenMonster.com - Engine management specialist to see what error codes you are getting.
