if standards are 440cc then 300-350 bhp is pushing it probably better getting 550's
have a look at this thread

the 440's are fine as long as you don't want to break the 350 barrier, im running just over 340 now everything (like brand new turbo) is run in and thats in 440's and thers room to spare

hand't twigged that, if it is 380's you have then they'll need changing so chuck the 550's in to be on the better side of the line

Ah sorry guys from going through the paperwork and receipts the saloon does have 440's, but it came in this state of tune and to be honest i dont have any experience with mods other than very basic. I've turned my attention to the wagon though and other than the mapping i'll be doing all the work myself so all questions based on her for the moment. Im hoping i can see 350bhp from a TD04? or thereabouts

TD06
I agree i guess as the saloon is running a TD05 and obviously assume bigger turbo = more bhp, but have read advice on going for smallest turbo possible with maximum boost?. Also, what about the elusive TD06? I was going to upgrade the saloon from an 05 to an 06 but was advised against it, with APS being the preferable choice. Im curious about the TD06 tho, i've know there is a lot of chrome plastic rubbish out there but if u can get a real 1 from a reputable source?

TD04 wont get anywhere near your target as said 270-280 max...... Td05 will get close but prob not quite in 16g form.....TD05 18g would be my choice to reach your target with ease depending on other mods of course,on your original inlet it would be pretty hard to get a straight entry conversion to fit the inlet pipe under, can raise i up on insulating spacers but it might be a tight fit, but as suggested a vf series would give slightly better spool but less of a top end hit, again same issues fitting as the vf's are straight entry as standard.
