ENGINE REBORE 2.2
Hi i beleave i have spun a bearing, and need a rebuild. £2000 worth, how much would this go up for the rebore 2.2, Wale it's inbits might as well any info would be g8t.

Rebore to a 2.2 is a no go from a 2lt block using existing liners, you need to have the block linered or stroked to get near 2.2. Either way not really worth considering for a standard rebuild option due to the costs, imo you would be better of going the 2.5 route.

I had my block rebored to 2.2, and a HKS Stroker kit installed. Happy with the results, pulls like a train and should be pretty rock solid, touch wood.
Very expensive though. 2.5, which wasn't really an option when I had mine done, is much cheaper - but not as cool

if money is no option then your best bet may be a reliner 2.33 closed deck block, correctly built with the right turboa nd supporting mods you'll get 500bhp, but no much change from 15-20grand all in
