Default sti brain into a /99 uk /turbo

is it possible to put an sti brain into a my99 uk turbo without any other mods????

No!!!! both cars are setup completely different, fuelling, air intake and a totally different turbo. stop trying to avoid paying for a remap!!!! LOL

How about if u had STI heads and Turbo etc or if you fitted a complete STI engine, could u then use an STI ECU with a UK turbo wiring loom???

I know there is some difference with the crank/cam sensors, think u have to swap 2 wires round

But without any other mods then NO not advisable, Get a RE-MAP!

no you would need to have it mapped anyway, same map on different cars doesn't normaly work. been there tried that lol

Its a MY99 like mine. Get an Ecutek remap and that should give you 270-285 bhp, depending on exhaust. It will drive a whole lot better as well. Not to mention a great bucket load of torque

the only reason i asked was a mate has just put a sti brain into a wrx 03 plate...

along with sti loom, engine, turbo? or he is pulling your leg?

perhap he has a ppp ecu which usually has sti stamped on it

hes driven it and it ran good...so maybe it must be like you say the stamped one???
