Default Newbie Q's About Error Codes

Hi there, just got myself a 98 turbo 2000 and I've had my engine check light flash on a couple of times.
Have done the black connector thing with the check engine code light and it came up with 4 codes: 22, 23, 24 and 31.

Car has had a few bit s done and I have heard that after every mod engine wise it's a good idea to reset ecu to start from scratch. Didn't know if this had been done.
Long story short- reset ecu, now have one code-22, where is the knock sensor exactly and would it affect my idle as it now goes from 800 down to 200 and then back in small waves?

Anyone????
