www.jap-innovations.co.uk, got mine for about 50-60 quid mines on a 98 and yes its worth getting it done, takes a while to get used to cos it tightens the throw up aswell.

Do it.

Wouldn't even consider owning a Scoob without one. I used to have the Prodrive QS, which to be fair is one of the best. However I changed it for an BR QS which is even shorter!!!!
and considered as probably the best at the mo. Andy Tang had it, Topcat has it etc....

Do it, You wont regret it!!

I think the Prodrive one is around £200+ and the BR one is £170ish... Takes 5 minutes to fit!

Go on treat yourself!

I have just purchased the Prodrive q/shift kit.

If it takes 5 minutes to fit can you describe the method as it looks a fairly technical job me. Also I'm told that the airbag sensors are located in that area??

Also looking at the kit from an engineering angle,it seems to me that you could easily take the dimension of the link from the Prodrive kit and cut your existing one to that length and get it rewelded for a fraction of the price.

Just for the record, I've been quoted £75 +vat to have fitted by Sparshatts Subaru

The quickshift I use to have, was supplied by BR Developments. http://www.brdevelopments.com

On a MY99 UK car, I tried the standard, Prodrive, 2 different GGR ones and settled on the BRD one!!

And yes they were all slightly different!

Give BRD a call as I think the quickshift is on special offer!

Shaggyman, sounds like a good idea to me. Are you willing to take tthe dimensions? I wouldn't mind having a go - I've got a pretty good welder mate. A picture and the dimensions would be great.

Another vote for the Prodrive, as I have on my '00.

Stick on a Momo **** as well and you will have a very tight and firm feeling box (f'narrr, f'narrr).

Cheers

Yes

Bought the GGR as a Scoobynet Shop offer last June - fitted it in Novemeber

Excellent feel & having done 2 trackdays with it, find very precise & accurate changes,

Only downer is that sometimes on the road, when I've come to a stop, I forget what gear & I'm in and/or select too high a ratio

(& I defy anyone who'se got one to honestly admit they haven't done that )

Definately worth it.
