Default clutch help

Hi I fitted a new exedy clutch to day but on the test drive there is a rattle
Witch I think is the thrust bearing it will do it when you let of the gas
Do you think it is knackered or have I done some think wrong the car is a 96 wrx
Also fitted a light flywheel

This is normal behaviour for this clutch, pretty sure its the same as my brothers, about a grand? is that right?

and his does exactly the same, be also commented on it and it was confirmed it does this! somthing to do with the way the bearing works, floating or somthing.

sorry to be vague but i think you have nothing to worry about.

Yep mine does it as well, lightweight FW and Exedy uprated clutch. Sounds like the box is on it's way out but it's normal so they say.

not worth taking box out to check all is ok then is this a design fault

My ebay exedy clutch used to do it on my forester but the noise just went

I was on the verge of a gearbox rebuild as I was convinced it was the bearings, glad I had no cash and waited....
