Having this little problem with my car today, its a MY98 GF8 WRX.

Usually when I switch off my car all the light will goes off but today when everything is off the little side light and the rear light stays on. I have switch everything off and light still on. So I have to pull the fuse out to prevent dead battery tomorrow morning.

Is this a usual problem on Subaru or should I take it to specialist

have you flicked your parking lights on by accident mate?
On the Classic UK model I used to have the parking light was the small switch on top of the steering column. Was forever catching it.

this happened to me and was kicking myself when i found out theres a square button on the top of your steering column which is a parking light press this and should go off

this is a constant problem on Subarus' !! You could take it to a specialist electrician -- or you could try the switch on top of the steering wheel boss - cant remember the official name for it (could be 'side-light' switch )

Oh lol, I have completely forgot about that little button. knew it was there but never use it. Sorted now.
