Default AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH

it's doin my head in,

the car has started to stall when slowing down not a rough stall but as if the engine cuts out, thinking i've got an air leak, goin to check all my hoses tomorrow but has anyone had this problem and if so help point in general direction cos i realy can't be arsed stripping everything cos i'm on holiday.

im havin the same kind of problem except mine hasnt cut out as of yet,just revs drops to around 0-200 before jumping up to a low idle of 400-600,last time i had this problem i had a split turbo downpipe,could be same probem again!

Assuming one's a P1 by your user name, if the other is MY99/00 then I'd check the MAF, sounds like the standard failing MAF syndrome.

its probably down to idle air control valve sticking, it sits to the right of the throttle body, just mark where it was remove it and clean it out with carb cleaner,

has it been doing it long? have you got any mods? it could be intercooler pipes. check for holes and loosness. it could be your idle is set too low try raising it slightly. you could try resetting the ecu and see if this helps.
