I've got one to go in, I'll be fitting it in the boot on the under side of the rear parcel shelf.
i'm sure I'll move fast enough to put any fire out and if I cant, I dont suppose the fire extinguisher would the fire out any how.

I had mine on the side of the central tunnel, passenger side (that was my old track Clio, I don't have one at all in my Scoob). I did toy with the idea of putting it in the back somewhere or even in the boot because I thought, as in the post above, 'I'll be able to get it in time if I ever need it'.
And when my engine bay caught fire on the 'Ring, I was bloody glad I had it right there to hand as I just jumped out and doused it there and then before it caused an oil or fuel fire. Put it this way - if you're going to have a fire extinguisher in your car, be serious about it and put it somewhere where it'll be some use. The boot or under the seat is no good - I'd say one of the edges of the passenger footwell is best, or even the rear edge of your own footwell.

I have 1 plumbed into my Sprint car, I hard mounted it behind the passengers seat, the hand held one is fixed on the passenger floor up against the seat. I also cary a Halon one mounted on the floor behind the drivers seat. Whatever you do, make sure you or someone can access it as quick as posssible. These all have pins in them so they can't be set off accidentally. If you want pics let me know.

When I had a scoob, mine was mounted on top of the transmission tunnel in the back.
My wife has a fear of being trapped, so window hammer / seatbelt cutter & extinguisher both need to be reachable.

Yes always have one in my car, I normally have a plumbed in one as well but not got around to fitting it in this car yet.
I have a piece of alloy bar that bolts between the front seat mounts and the ext bolts to that.
