Default How to test coil packs

Ok guys,

Does anyone know how to test coil packs on early scoobys? I had an irregular running engine and paid for 4 new coil packs as well as the diagnosis and it cost me an arm and a leg!!

I've still got the old packs but I'm sure that it must be possible to test them one at a time.

Anyone had experience in coil packs?

Cheers
Mick.

If the new coil packs fixed the problem, then throw the other in the bin.
They are approx 12-15 years old now so have done well.

there are some measurement tests in the workshop manual, but I have not known them to prove anything as they always seem to measure correct despite giving a weak spark and causing mis-fires.
