i think you need to give more info of the fault and car that way you should get more replies.

what do you mean by not kicking in as before can you explain the fault in more detail?

car is impreza 1995 uk wrx.

Was told when purchased it has turbo from sti import.
The car doesnt seem to want to pull its has if somethings holding back. Before the problem started i could hit 2500-3000 revs and the turbo would kick in.

give ya boost solenoid a clean with some carb cleaner, its probably that. especially if you`ve got a tiny bit too much oil in ya engine.

its on the drivers side suspension turret in the engine bay. its easy to find. it has 3 pipes coming off it, one to the turbo, one to the actuator and one to ya airbox. pull all the pipes off it and then go in ya car and remove the cover under the steering wheel. connect the green connectors together and the black connectors together and turn your ignition on. NOT your engine. this will make the solenoid pulse along with everything else in the engine bay and then spray some carb cleaner in the solenoid.

Do a search on cleaning the boost solenoid for more details.
