as title i have put a set on and the car sounds very raspy almost like its blowing but checked all joints ect and are all fine when car is at idle and you rev it you here it faint but when driving its ten times louder i have posted this up before and had only one or two say that it might just be thin stainless steal and thats how they sound but they are not the headers with a flexi joint they are solid and i have had someone i know to look at them from an exhaust specialist before fitting them and they say that they are well made so could it be something wrong with the engine ie piston slap or blown something else any help would be great thanks

 

I have a spec C and mine also sounds quite raspy from the inside (almost Honda like!) not sure what it sounds like from the outside though as always driving.

I think this is probably the way the headers change the note?

Maybe someone else can be more technical.

 

hi mate mine sounds like a bike raspy come to think about it as for sounding out side the car i mean with my window wound down and then passing a wall or house ect..it deflects the sound back thanks for the reply
