Default extra bhp from downpipe?

Hi, have got a '99 classic Impreza UK car and the previous owner had a performance downpipe, big bore exhaust (left Cats on though), and green cotton panel filter. Don't know if it's remapped though?

Does anyone know what power it's likely to have. Just wondered, although at some point I will probably have it rolling road tested

I would say that it has about 225-230bhp tops. A standard MY99 has 215bhp, your turbo will spool up a little quicker as well. As its a MY99, like mine, you can take advantage of Ecutek! I have had mine done, middle cat removed, standard up pipe. I now have 281bhp and 312 lb/ft torque

Its a software package so that dealers can reprogramme your ECU with different fuel, ignition and boost settings to increase performance, fuel econmoy etc.

Ecutek is one of the most common ECU remap packages, but there are others which are slightly cheaper.
