hello there,
I have a my02 wrx, would like to improve cornering a little bit but don't want to waste lot's of money.
was thinking in fitting just springs and a wider wheel and tyre ( 8x17 and 225/45/17 ) or springs and stiffer arbs and drop links ( maybe 24 mm FR ).
what would you choose?
thanks

What Dazza said, plus some new springs, only get the rear ARB done or understeer will probably come back into play again.
Rear ARB
front and rear droplinks
New springs all round.
Front and Rear Struts braces...???

Strut braces? Ye gods! IMHO, the biggest waste of money chav bling ever invented since those stick on rings that were supposed to make CD's sound better!!
How can a length of flimsy (in relation to a car's chassis) tubing WITH BENDS IN IT help handling in any way? If they were super rigid and a direct straight connection between the two suspension mountings, then MAYBE...
Apologies for the rant, but strut braces are nearly as annoying as people who put an 's' on the end of Tesco ;-)

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
Rear ARB first with drop-links.
ALK and front ARB with a full geometry set-up.
225/45/17 fitted as standard on STI (7.5" rims)
So 235/45/17 on 8" rims, I've gone up to 19" on mine...

About the same if you've done one....
New-age cars have a large under-brace in the way.

P.S. I was meaning the rear bar !
BUT I fitted 22mm at both ends, as it's a road car.
