I'm looking to upgrade from a stock TD04 to a bigger turbo on my MY01 sometime in the near future. I'll also be upgrading the injectors and fuel pump at the same time, as well as getting another Ecutek remap.

What are the pros and cons of each turbo and what changes would you recommend for the fuel system?

Vf34 is a roller bearing turbo and will spool up more quickly than the TD05 16. The 16G will be tough as old boots. They will both make around the same power.

depends which one you fancy and cost really.

I personally would go for earlier boost, but that is my opinion.

 

16g will probably edge it and result in a faster car IMHO, but start using them to their potential and you'll need a gearbox fund
