Hi,
I`ve got an interesting problem at the moment where i`m fitting a 98 EJ20 NA Subaru engine into a VW transporter.
I`ve got the engine running and idling fine at the moment. I have a problem whereby when i change gear, i drop the clutch, shift gear, let the clutch back, then give it some throttle and at this point the engine really stutters as if its fuel starvation.
I`ve had the throttle position sensor off for cleaning and i`m not entirely sure thats its back in the correct postion. Could this be affecting it? I believe theres a way to set it back checking the voltage in a throttle closed postion and a wide open throttle position too?
The thottle positon sensor on this engine has 3 wires going to it - a white, a black and red & black.
I`m not getting any error codes and the engine idles fine and pulls away in 1st gear fine.
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers,
Mike
