Hi all,
My old 93WRX didn't have an undertray fitted as long as i owned it (5 years +) And when i sold it last year there was no corrosion on the manifold/engine underneath whatso ever (none of this had been changed).
My 1999 UK Scoob that i've just got has an undertray fitted. Took it off the other day to change the oil and noticed that the engine area hidden by the undertray look terrible. Mega dirty and loads of corrosion on the exhaust bits.
Does anyone think that having the undertray actually increases corrosion as the bottom part of the engine never gets splashed etc with rain. Also it acts as a trap for moisture/salt etc.
Just some thoughts, am considering taking mine off and leaving it.
