I've got a motor whine coming from under the glovebox - which appears to be from the motor that controls where the airflow goes from the fan heater (i.e. screen, footwell, vents, etc). Still works but the whine is annoying. Sounds like the motor is on the way out.

I went into a dealer and asked how much a replacement for that motor was and they quoted £430 for the part only! So, keen of course to just pick something up from a breakers.

Has anyone else had this whine? Is the motor that controls the airflow easy to take out by itself or do I need to replace the entire heating system?
