Default Braided brake hoses are they worth it?

As above really - just wondering if they make a noticeable difference?

If you are planning on track days or a bit of spirited driving then the answer is yes.

On your car, yes.
The standard reinforced rubber hoses have some give in them even when new. This can even provide an increase in 'feel' to the brakes on a new(ish) car. But over time this give increases and can begin to make the brakes feel spongy, so at 9 years old braided lines would very likely give you better feel under heavy braking.

Default are these braided brake hoses ok?

Decided now after some advice that I'm gonna go for some braided hoses - just wanting to check I'm getting the right ones.

Would these be ok for me?

Subaru Impreza Diamond Braided Brake Hoses on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 15-May-08 18:33:34 BST)

Just I read something somewhere about getting a different kit if it had a brembo conversion - sorry if it's a ridiculous question but how do I know? it says subaru on my fronts but does that mean no?

Many thanks

Goodridge from Alyn at ASP - they are not expensive, why penny pinch your life?

Yep, Goodridge all the way, £60-£70 a set.
Those ebay things have the centre collar missing too- very important to stop the lines catching the wheels. Avoid like a dose of the clap!

PS If your car is a Euro import like mine, then you'll need a non standard configuration too. The lines on my MY00 are all the same, I had to get 4 of the rear lines (longer ones with kink on the banjo connection) from the SSU0201-4 kit.

Si
