Default sti or wrx pistons??

bought a used short block a short while ago now to replace my blown bottom end, am just reassembling after having some headwork done and want to verify that the bottom end i have bought is actually fitted with sti pistons, i am led to believe that by looking at the underside of the pistons it is possible to distingyuish between the two, exactly wot am i looking for? the pistons are in still in the block but the sump is off, if that helps lol.

Cross hatch pattern would indicate they are a standard piston.
If the underneath section is all smooth then they are forged piston.

As Ticky said above

Cast Version 4 on the left and Version 4 Forged HF on the right.
