Default fault codes. help.

hi was looking for a loose connection as my brake lights were out. found it and at the same time found a connector above the peddles that was unconnected. when i connected it then turn the ignition key the check engine light flashed a code of 23. MAF. should this be connected all the time or just for fault finding? and have been having trouble with the engine stalling and have to turn ignition off then on to start again. is this connected to one another or am i looking at a number of dif things. oh i have a 95 wrx import. cheers luke

the 2 black connectors are for fault finding and should only be connected when testing. if youre having trouble with the car cutting out then it sounds like the MAF does need replacing as thats what happened to me recently
