Wont run worth a s**t
Anyone have any ideas or can help
my engine is a EJ25 with Manley steel I beam rods Mahl forged pistons I have ported heads, new valves, springs ect Piper ultimate road cams. 3" sports cat full system, walborough pump I had been running this combo with stock injectors and ECU in my 97 Type R STI as i diddnt want a remap untill id finnished the mods it ran well the idle was a bit up and down i was carefull not to boot it too much but it was quick This last w/end it has had ceramic coated slightly unequal headers a big garret Hybrid turbo and some 800cc injectors it starts well, untill its warm then its a pig, it wont idle, stalls at low speads when you drive realy slow it seems ok the slightest hint of acceleration and it amost stops, I have only been round the block and that was enough for me, none of the mods iv done this week should affect the car at such slow engine speeds turbo/headers ect but im wondering if the big injectors could cause this problem on a standerd ECU? an ECU and remap is next on the list will this cure this all the parts came from ZEN or Traktive soloutions so their good parts,
any ideas chaps???
thanks

You'd be best phoning Zen and asking there advice, but fitting 800cc injectors without a remap is asking for trouble. The standard injectors are only 440cc so you have basically doubled the flow capacity without altering the air flow, or anything else.

I would take the injectors out and put the old ones back in until remap, for sure you will be getting piston wash and putting the engine in serious danger.
When i changed my 440's to 740's driving to the mapping session the Wideband was showings AFR's of 9 which is it's lowest reading, that was with the fuel pressure turned down aswell!!
