Default PPP Exhaust

I'm about to fit a PPP ecu to a 2005 blobeye STI UK, but I still have the original UP pipe cat and down pipe cat fitted. If I remove the 2nd down pipe cat will this be safe enough retaining the other two? or is the prodrive downpipe cat mandatory for this map/engine safety?

You haven't got an up-pipe cat in the STI.

Definitely have it remapped, it's a bit pointless otherwise IMO and the remap will transform your car

Really need that DP

By the time you have bought the DP, rear cat, ECU, coded the keys, voided the remaining warranty, why didn't you just map it as it was. The ECU in your car is perfectly good the only reason to get the Prodrive ECU is for the map which isn't matched to your cars tune anyway?

I didnt realise the STI didnt have an Up-cat. So the ppp ecu isnt really suitable with the standard downpipe cat?

Sorry, didn't realise you had a PPP ECU already (Note to self: Get new specs sorted).

If you do change the other bits as well, it works out cheaper than having a remap, but it will probably be down a little bit on power compared to a full custom remap.
