Is it correct that all imported classic STI's require super unleaded fuel???
So what fuel do UK Turbo 2000 and equiverlent JDM WRX's require? 95 RON?

Jap spec cars were designed to run on 100ron fuel, so V-max or Tesco 99 is best for those.
UK cars are mapped for 95ron fuel, but can also be run on 99ron, and anything in-between.
Not sure about cars from other regions...

Don't know about MON or PON rating.. It's widely said on this forum that Japanese cars are mapped for their 100RON fuel.
It's not that our 97-99 RON fuels are no good, they work fine, but the trade off (i think) is a some BHP and the slight risk off detonation/pinking. I'd stick to the 99RON stuff just be be on the safe side.

depends on the age of the import STI the early ones will be happy enough on 99RON the late ones should be remapped to run on whatever you can get your hands on (97 min imo).
Fuel octane ratings RON, MON, AKI RdON and PON explanation and compared.
