Default Still have load rattling, somethings loose...

when i drive and let off the revs, something rattles, checked the heatshield and down the back of the turbo to the downpipe and nothing seems loose...its really bugging me! anyone have any ideas?

titles supposed to read LOUD rattling, not load

Have you tried the shields around the manifolds from the cylinder heads, that's where I had most problem.

On overrun, it sounded like when you twanged a metal ruler on the edge of your desk at school

lol yes sounds just like that. i might try that, well get my mate to look at that as i can only see from the turbo down, dont really wanna go poking about as dont know much on these engines! will get him to have a ganders at what u suggested tho mate cheers for the tip

mine was the wastegate on the turbo, rate annoying, if it does it when at idle push on the actuator rod with the wooden end of a hammer or something similar (so you dont burn yourself) if the noise goes then thats your problem, this noise sounds the same as a heatshield
