You will get plenty of replies to this. Personally I would go for a cat back exhaust, you will get slightly less power than a full de-cat but save messing about at MOT time. Change the air filter to something like a KN or Green Cotton although the standard panel filter is pretty good. Do not fit an induction kit as these can cause problems with the MAF. Then go for an ECUTEK remap and I would think this will give you around 275bhp/280lb. Total cost around £1000, worth every penny

Well its already running around 265ps then, its an official add-on that was able to be fitted under warranty, it includes a sports cat on the downpipe (good for MOT) and a different exhaust system, should say "prodrive" on the backbox/tailpipe. The ECU has been played with a little and the car should have a certificate to prove it has it.
Tbh, you might be better looking at a front & rear ARB (anti roll bar) maybe ALK (anti lift kit) and some new springs, the power you have aint too bad, on a par with a standard STI, look to improve handling unless its already been done.
After looking at your car in the pic, you have the prodrive version by the looks of it, the rear spoiler is a giveaway.
