Default upgrading turbo?

I have a 93 2.0l turbo legacy and i've bought a TD05 turbo and W6 ECU off a WRX. Will this work well on my engine or is there anything else i need to upgrade eg injectors, etc?

Thanks Scott

i also have a HKS fuel cut defender, would it be beneficial to fit this (do they up the power at all?)

i would guess that the 93 legacy engine is the same as the 93wrx engine.
the w6 ecu is mapped for 380cc injectors so it would be wise to check you have the correct injectors.
Don't put the fuel cut defender on doesn't add power just bypasses the standard fuel cut level of the ecu

how do i find out which injectors i have? if i take them out will it be written on them?

In what circumstances would you use the fuel cut defender?

380cc injectors on my 93wrx are grey.
You would use the FCD if you were raising the boost which would mean you would be hitting the standard ecu fuel cut.
e.g.
WRX/STi Saloon ECU's 2C, U8, W6, W9 - As above, 11.47psi (0.79bar)held to redline. Fuel-cut 14.57psi (1.0bar)

if you want to run more than 1.0bar you would set the FCD to raise the fuel cut.
there are better ways of getting more boost/power.

Both Legacy Turbo and WRX 93-96 run basically the same engine, and same injector size, so no worries there.

Only thing is, the WRX ecu will run the WAIC pump on high all the time, as opposed to high\low on the Legacy Turbo ecu.

I would recommend you VOS chip your ecu. It runs 16psi and comes in two configurations, for 6psi wastegate, and 9psi which is TD05. It also improves driveability, and raises boost cut to 18.5psi.

i've got it all together and its making good power high up in the rev range but low down its overfuelling quite badly.
Could this be something to do with the ecu or might it be a problem elsewhere?
If so would it be better if i got an ecu off a legacy turbo and fitted a VOS chip for the TD05?

P.S Whats a WAIC pump? (I'm new to all this!)
