ive been told by my local garage(not subaru)that i need a abs control unit for my 2004 type uk sti? ?
they did the diagnostic check and it came up with "0" and so they say the abs control unit is needed? ? ?
i called my local subaru dealer(beechdale derby)and got a price £250 + vat,but the chap says are you sure you need it as we have not sold one of them for over 2 years? ?
anyone else ever needed one or can help on what best to do?can they be fixed or do i need a new one

I had to replace an ABS ECU on my 97 classic.
Subaru quoted me over a grand for one, I eventually found one from Autotek on ebay. 125 quid reconditioned with 45 quid surcharge.
Check your bulbs first, especially if you have fitted LED types, as these can interfere with ABS ECU and give that fault code on diagnostic.
