Sti8 steering wheel move
Hey there,
Can anyone tell me how I go about moving my sti8 steering wheel around one notch? When it was fitted, it looks like it was one tooth out on the spline, so steering wheel is slightly turned to drive straight (dont worry, not tracking - that's perfect and drives straight and never has been curbed). Is it just undue one or two allen key bolts and rotate or do you have to lift the cover off the air bag thing and disconnect the connections first?

To move it that way would require removing the airbag, and undoing the big nut at the end of the steering column, before getting a puller on the wheel, or gently tapping it off.
The easiest way is to take to your local tire fitters and ask them to straighten it up with the tracking. £20 quid if that.

if your planning on removing air bag, make sure you disconnect the battery and to allow the airbag unit to lose its charge, so it doesnt go off when being disconnected.
also, some times u cant move it one spline as the wheel will only go on in one place. so u would need the wheel straighten and re track.

Ah! Air bag can go off with disconnection...lucky I've not played with it yet then cheers. Can I just move the steering wheel around the spline (if possible) without disconnected the air bag?
