hi all, after some opinions on 3" exhausts! here's my problem, at the moment i have a full blitze nur spec r system which dont get me wrong i love
but now i would like to do some track days and there's no way on earth i'm going to get on with this
i would like to find a back box thats as noisey as i could get away with, but not have to worry to much about noise tests! is there such a thing out there? seen the ninja r back box which is 3" not sure how loud this is? any other suggestions? was hoping (unless i fall in love with this new system) to just put the quieter back box on for track days etc but was unsure if i can do this with out tweaking the map every time? but by my reckoning it must be better than just sticking the bung in which alot do and get away with! any thoughts people

Had mine tested at scooby shootout, Blitz Nur Spec modified to be full 3" on a 2.5 block and without the bung it produced 112db at 4500rpm, with the bung in it produced 107db, still way tooooo loud!!
Couple of mates had similar setups with Buddy Club Pro Spec's on and they recorded 100db without a bung, these systems come with bungs also but werent needed for the 103db limit at scooby shootout.
Trouble with bungs is they strangle your system and cause issues with your boost profile.

hi guys thanks for the replys, i dont want to use the bung as 1 it sounds ****, 2 the car dose not like for reasons mentioned which is not what you want thrashing it round track! also the rattle like crazy and fall some times! so no bung for me lol! and sorry will keep the nur spec for tunnel runs and santa pod etc as i love the noise
as said i'm really after a 3" exhaust thats as noisey as i can get away with but still get on track! hks are good as stated as i had a super dragger but sold it when i got the blitz
but i wondered about the cheaper ones out the like the new ninja and afterburner R back boxes not sure how load they would be? seen a haywood and scott classic back box but looks quiet a big back box and would be worried it will be to quiet or not flow well? thanks for the help so far any other thoughts would be great on what boxes to go for regards noise etc cheers luke
