Cobb hand held self tuner
Do you think this looks good or is it a bit risky in untrained hands. PS the webb site seems quite cheap for new parts like turbos etc the have a VF43 turbo for £475 which is the cheapest i've found so far.

Hi all
As far as I have read on the US sites the cobb unit is just an upload mechanism for new maps, all they do is down load a map for a website with a decat down pipe, up pipe and filter etc, all very egeneric and then flash it on to the ecu. On cobbs website it states that the unit is only for USDM cars I guess this is due to lower quality fuel.
As for parts they are cheaper than us but if you want to import from USA, Japan, Australier be prepaired to pay import tax which can sometimes even out the cost between over there and here. Having said that always keep an eye open for dealer sales 10% off this 20% off that, and special prices as this makes a real bargin and as long as they will ship to the UK you could get a good deal even after import tax
