I can smell fuel

Default I can smell fuel

when i get in my car and start it up i can smell a strongish smell of fuel..any 1 know wot this cud be?

could be fuel pump pipes, engine fuel pipes or injectors that could be leaking best thing is try and pin the smell down

Assuming it's definitely fuel and not just exhaust, then you've got a slight fuel leak somewhere. Best way to check is pop the bonnet, get someone to turn on the key (but not start the car), the fuel pump will start and pressurise the fuel lines, and if you suddenly smell petrol, you've got a slight leak. If it's any more than a slight leak, fuel will be spraying around everywhere!
