Default STi V8 cams

Hi all.
I have to replace my cam-belt and on doing so I have noticed that the cam oil seals are leaking so will get my mechanic to sort that out as well. Few questions though on doing this:
First is this a long hard job?
Second, do the cams have to come out?
Last of all, is there anything else I should or could do in the way of upgrading or just replacing while doing this job?

If your sure its the cam seals leaking, then its a fairly simple job to do once you have removed the cam pulleys and inner timing covers.
Cams do not have to come out to replace the seals(carefully prise them out) and use Genuine seals to do the job.
