Default 95 Classic WRX lumpy when cold

Does anyone experience a lumpy experience when car is cold, noticeable on idle and need slightly more revs to get going. when it is warmed up car runs perfect. Any one experience this or any ideas? Many thanks

is there anyway to check this, or is it a case of replacing it and hoping it is that. Many thanks for the reply

temp gauge will not work properly
or
cold tickover will only last few seconds before dropping to lower revs

mine does the same having temp sensor done next week

Temp gauge works fine as far as I know but idle can be lazy at times and feels very lumpy, have you been quoted on the costs for a replacement yet?

Coolant sensor to temp gauge is different to one that provides info to ecu so a dodgy coolant sensor won't show up on the dashboard.

I'd have said it was this as well to be honest.

You'll need to check the resistance of it at cold temps and then hot temps to see what it's output is. I've no idea what they should be for the Subarus though. Someone will I'm sure.

I have just moved to plymouth, and have been using Alan Jeffries since i moved here and he seems really good, just getting fed up of spending money on it now to be honest only had it 2 months and have spent £2500 on it so far with things going wrong, I knew a scooby would not be cheap, but its starting to take its toll lol so i might try the sensor first and see if that helps.
