hi there i have a sti type uk 02 reg what grade of oil do i need and how many litres do i have to put in

 

I would use a 5/40. Something like Shell Ultra would be perfect, you will need 4.5ltrs. Once you have drained it and fitted the new filter top it up with 4 ltrs and keep checking it, you don't want to overfill it.

 

Your new filter will need priming with half a liter before fitting,also,i like to disconnect the crank sensor,then turn the engine over to get the oil pressure up before starting it up. I use millers cfs 10w40. Every one has their own fave oil,have a search.

 

Yes as said you really need to prime the filter, its critical. I assumed you would have been aware of this, but hey, you know what they say about assumption. "Assumption is the mother of all ***k ups" Thank you 'mit' for your intervention.

 

hi mate iv got a version 7 sti,bugeye,and i use motul 300v 10w40,got a good deal with genuine filter and washer from asperformance,and it takes about 4.5litres,and best to prefill your oil filter,millers 10w60 is good as well
