Default Running rich

My Scooby is running a bit rich.

What could be the cause? It was stalling sometimes but removing the dumpvalve seems to of cured this.

I know the car needs a setup, but it would be nice to have some kind of idea of what could be wrong before i take it somewhere.

and talking of somewhere, who is good to take it to? I live in Hull if it makes any difference!

Thanks

Default Rich ?

Are you going by the exhaust colour ?

'Cos mine is running weak over 4000 rpm, but the exhaust is thick black, due to use of V-Power....

no - the fact that it throws out 6 foot flames when i change gear LOL

and when accelerating hard it hesitates / misses at 4k rpm. is usually ok on softer acceleration.

could it be a fuel / boost cut? my gauge says its running 1.5 bar! I think its a bit high but im going to fit a gauge i have that is reliable to make sure its not telling me lies!

Hmmm.... flames, mine's never managed that !

1.5 bar seems a bit high, but mine's up around 1.6 bar maximum.

Good luck !

Links Garages on Endike or Thomas and Berrimans in Beverley.. there near the Station and goods friends of mine. Both use to rally impreza's and know quite a lot about them also.
