Decat pipe on 2.5 WRX PPP.

Decat pipe on 2.5 WRX PPP.
I wanted to fit a turbo back decat pipe which removes both cats.
Where can I get the best one for the money?
I read somewhere that you cannot fit them to a PPP?
What sort of power increase?
Would I be better with a full Milltek for example?
Can I just reset the ECU or will I need a Remap?

H&S or Japspeed both sell waht you want....
You read (or it was written) wrong, of course you can, although you would get less gain as the PPP's mostly have a decat underfloor (with shields that look just like a cat) and a sportcat downpipe with bypass pipe from the wastegate, so the benefit of going full decat are much reduced!
Over the PPP, 5-10bhp.
There is little benefit replacing the centre section exhaust unless you just want more noise, the PPP backbox is prett good, but you can get a few GG's from a Milltek or similar.
Reset IMHO some say you need a remap, but I've never seen any hard evidence, even less so on a PPP with its lower back pressure anyway!

You will have a decat rear centre already and standard catted DP.
Loads to be gained from getting a full decat pipe from someone like H&S.
Stainless exhausts manifolds headers
With the 2.5's you will need a remap as without it you will have significant problems with overboost. Without adjustment the 2.5's don't cope well without the cats in place. In the STI PPP for the 2.5's they dropped the Sports cat DP as Prodrive were unable to stabilise boost to make it viable for widespread sale.
I am running a sportscat decat rear set up on MY06 STi and have made a conservative 335/375. Adjustments were made to cope with any occurances of overboost
